Jafza is built over an area of 48 square kilometers. It ranks among the worlds largest and the fastest growing free zones. In its 23 years of operation, Jafza has posted more than 320 times growth in its number of companies growing from 19 in 1985 to over 6100 in 2008. Since the turn of this century the Jebel Ali Free Zone has grown over 330 per cent. Situated between Jebel Ali Port the world’s 6th largest seaport and the new International Airport, the world’s largest cargo airport, Jafza is the only free zone in the world to be located between the two major logistic enablers. With a six lane highway Jafza will facilitate the transportation of goods (custom bound) from sea to air in just 20 minutes.

Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) home to over 1,500 companies and 10,000 tenant employees is currently undergoing a massive expansion of its commercial space to accommodate a burgeoning need for leasing space in a free zone. An investment of Dh1.3 billion will be made to increase the current capacity by 90 per cent in terms of leaseable area. There will be six new buildings as well as a hotel, adding a built-up area of 320,000 square metres. Construction is set to begin in the third quarter or last quarter of this year. Dubai companies house has been an accredited member of DAFZ and displays the DAFZ logo to demonstrate its commitment with DAFZ. Dubai companies house proudly meets all DAFZ participation and accreditation standards and is authorized to display the DAFZ seal.

Dubai Internet City (DIC) provides a strategic and cost effective platform for ICT companies targeting emerging markets in a vast region extending from the Middle East to the Indian subcontinent, and from Africa to Central Asia. Launched in the year 2000, DIC now features a dynamic international community of ICT companies including global giants like Microsoft, Cisco Systems, IBM, HP, Dell, Siemens, Sun Microsystems, Computer Associates, PeopleSoft and Sony Ericsson. Many small and medium businesses (SMBs) and promising entrepreneurial ventures are also part of the community.
